CEO Bruce Siddle on the Smithsonian Network

September 28, 2009 by Detonics Staff

Detonics CEO Bruce Siddle will be a featured expert on a new Smithsonian Network funded production on the tangible and intangible skills of elite counter-terrorism operators.  As an counter-terrorism training specialist and an expert in combat human factors, Siddle supported the most elite counter-terrorism units for almost 20 years.  ”I have traditionally avoided TV interviews or network productions that discuss the training, technology and tactics of the elite units. While I understand the public’s fascination with such topics, there is too great of a chance to compromise a mission to save a life or the safety of an operator.  But this production gave me the opportunity to discuss the human factors of elite operators.”  Siddle’s discussed the science of combat human factors, the complexities of combat stress and combat precision, and the psychological burden the elite carry on life saving missions.
